You were thinking ergonomically before
you knew the meaning of the word…
When you used a product – toys, phones, computers, even cars – you knew exactly how it could be improved. Industrial designers develop products from conceptual "great idea" to manufactured reality, maintaining user-friendliness through the look and feel, as well as function.
Creativity, technical skill and artistic talent…
Industrial design is a career in three dimensions—combining creative ideas, refined technical skills and artistic application of design. It involves creating prototypes for product designs, point-of-purchase displays, exhibition design, or special effects, in model- or full-scale environments.
Endless Possibilities
Industrial designers work in a variety of industries: automotive, consumer products, electronics, environmental, footwear, furniture, marine craft, medical, motion pictures, sports equipment, theme park, and toy.
